The news that Jerry Porter has returned to practice is pretty outstanding, if only because I don’t believe anyone thought he would be back this soon. But he is. And he’s practicing and apparently might even play on Sunday against the Titans.
Wide receiver Jerry Porter was which means he’ll play against the Bills in two weeks and may even play Sunday.
“I’m fine, I’m fine,” said Porter.
Porter said Jack Del Rio told him the same thing he told the media which is that he would be available in two weeks and is leaving all decisions about playing time up to the coaches.
Ah, well, nevermind then. I can’t imagine Del Rio flipping on that decision and suddenly deciding to let Porter run this week. The Titans game is obviously a big one (in division and all), but I would also think that Del Rio wants Porter healthy for the entire season rather than just the first half of the first game.
So, feel free to ignore anything Porter actually says about his condition until Coach D-R actually gives him the thumbs up to play.
Fantasy Spin: Uh, yeah. Snag him quickly if he somehow is available in your league. Porter might not be a season changer but he’s healthy and the only legit receiving option on the Jaguars, he’s going to be a steal as a WR3.
