CINCINNATI - West Coast trips to San Diego and Oakland, plus visits to Minnesota and Green Bay, highlight the Bengals' 2009 road schedule.
Fourteen of the Bengals' 16 regular-season opponents were predetermined by the NFL's schedule rotation, which calls for the AFC North to face the AFC West and NFC North divisions.
Cincinnati's other two AFC opponents were determined when Sunday's late afternoon games finished.
By virtue of the Bengals' third-place division finish, they'll host Houston and visit the New York Jets because the Texans and Jets placed third in the AFC South and AFC East, respectively.
2009 home opponents:
Baltimore, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Denver, Kansas City, Chicago, Detroit and Houston.
2009 away opponents:
Baltimore, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Oakland, San Diego, Green Bay, Minnesota and the Jets.
Graham in tears
Placekicker Shayne Graham got emotional in the locker room after kicking three field goals to help beat the Chiefs, 16-6. He becomes an unrestricted free agent in February.
"I've already shed a couple tears," he said. "Taking the jersey off, and not knowing if it's the last time I'll ever have the jersey on, is a tough feeling.
"I've loved living here. It's been home to me. I don't want to leave. But business is business. Everyone knows that and no one takes it personal. I have to accept that things may not work out to stay here."
Benson's future
Cedric Benson thanked his teammates for helping him achieve career highs for rushing yards (747) and attempts (214) in 12 games with 10 starts.
"I commend the offensive line and all the many guys who got shuffled in for all their efforts in helping me do that," he said.
Benson said he'll give the Bengals every opportunity to re-sign him before he hits Free Agency in the spring.
"Oh, yeah, absolutely," he said. "We definitely can have a lot of success in this offense because we mesh well. We managed to get it all together. That's important, having great momentum going into next season."
He's everywhere
Cornerback Leon Hall led the Bengals in tackles with eight (all solos), had a pass breakup and returned three punts for 16 yards.
He's already looking forward to next season.
"Once we get all our (injured) guys back on offense and defense, there's no telling how good we're going to look," he said. "We just have to build off this strong finish."
'Don't franchise me'
Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh's future is shrouded in mystery. He could return with a long-term contract or a one-year franchise tag. Will the Bengals let him walk in Free Agency?
"I'm curious and excited to see what's going to happen," he said. "It's a couple months away, but it seems like an eternity.
"I would like to stay here, but not with the franchise tag because it's for one year. I feel like if you franchise me, it's not beneficial for the team." B E N G A L S BY T H E N U M B E R S
