--The Bengals' roster makeover also claimed former first-round pick Chris Perry. The running back started six games last year but struggled. In five seasons, Perry only played in 35 games.


Among one of the strange releases was that of halfback Gary Russell, who was on the roster for just 10 days. He was claimed on waivers from Pittsburgh on April 17.

--In accordance with the official name-change document, Chad Johnson's last name is officially Ochocinco according to the NFL. Various media outlets have been using either one name or two for Chad, but the team is recognizing Ochocinco. When he shows up remains to be seen since he hasn't been to offseason conditioning workouts.

--With the drafting of linebacker Rey Maualuga in the second round, Southern Cal has taken the lead for players on the Bengals' roster with four.
