Cincinnati Bengals Notes, Quotes 2008-09-27
--Carson Palmer has been sacked nine times this season, compared to just 17 last season. He was sacked six times Sunday at the Giants.

"I think so. I think I'm built for that. Having some extra cushion, being 245 pounds, it gives me a little extra cushion for when those big guys are on you," Palmer said when asked if he could withstand the pounding. "But in no way do I want to get sacked six times. But I really don't think that will happen again. With the guys we have up front and the corrections we've already made, and some of the things we've done this year, some of that will take away some of the confusion we've had. And it's just as much on me as it is anybody else. I need to get rid of the ball in certain situations and do a better job of that, taking away some of the hits from myself."

--QB Carson Palmer is 4-0 against the Browns as a starter at home.

--The four-game league suspension of wide receiver Chris Henry is expected to be lifted Monday. If he were signed to the 53-man roster, Henry would be eligible to play Oct. 5 at Dallas.

"We will not have to make a move Monday with Chris Henry, so you can relax that one too," Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said Wednesday. "I think he may be off suspension, but I don't think that forces us to make a move."

The Bengals will have to apply to the league for the roster exemption and the NFL office must approve it. A roster move would have to be made before Henry could play in a game.

--Marvin Lewis isn't worried about his future and how the outcome of the game Sunday would or could affect him. "Oh, I don't think it has a bearing on my future," he said. "It's serious to me, but it's got nothing to do with my future. And if it does, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it."

--Browns RB Jamal Lewis has averaged 119.3 yards rushing in 13 career games against the Bengals.

--LB Dhani Jones leads the Bengals with 32 tackles.

BY THE NUMBERS: 0-4 -- The Bengals will be trying to avoid their first 0-4 start since 2002, when they finished a franchise-worst 2-14.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "You can't expect anything in rivalry games. We've had had shootouts with them, we've had low-scoring defensive struggles. You can't prepare for one or the other; you can't expect one or the other. You just need to come out and worry about yourself and you need to worry about it as an offense." -- Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer, when asked about the "Battle of Ohio" rivalry game against the Browns on Sunday.
