In many ways, an NFL season is a lot like a presidential campaign. It starts with a handful of hopefuls, is whittled down to a few contenders after some early contests and ends with the two nominees (if you will) going head-to-head for the big prize.
And seeing as how this year, the NFL's "election" will coincide with the real thing, we've chosen to follow the analogy for the duration of our 2008 preview.
